Hi Pete
Unknown at this point - I don't personally run this software, but it should be ok to use without any drama.

Hi,
I also have SpywareTerminator running, but do not have its Hips and Program Guard on. Do not want any conflict with OA's function; after all 2 antivirus programs running is not recommended.

Hi roleo
I did not install Clam-Win when i installed spyware terminator, the only thing that could possibly conflict is "hips".
Online armour free version has only the firewall which also has hips.
Hope i got it right.
The only virus protection i have is Avast pro.
Very much appreciated your input

Hi again
I have turned of HIPS in spyware terminator as the hips in Online Armour, gives me more information about each program it lists
I found in Spyware terminator i was googling a lot to find out what program they belonged too.
Quite Happy using Online Armour
Cheers Pete :D

To pedropete who somewhat asked---Online armour free version has only the firewall which also has hips. Hope i got it right.
I note you made that statement yesterday. And if you had made that statement three or four days earlier, you would have been almost totally right.
But you are wrong now because comodo has now released, perhaps prematurely, their version three free ware firewall that offers HIPS and similar protections.
Thereby igniting somewhat of arms race war between the two for the future of firewalls. But in many ways, war is the wrong term and its more a rivalry with the consumer being the big winner. And both online armor and comodo are at the cutting edge of technology and are setting the new standards for firewall. And both online armor and comodo are works in progress with various pro's and cons.
But one thing for sure, one will not go wrong using online armor now because online armor is an excellent firewall.
The future is always cloudy but it will almost certainly be better due to two or more products always raising the bar.

Hi Lemon
No what i was trying to say was that i have been using Spyware Terminator (resident spyware guard and scanner) which also uses hips
http://www.spywareterminator.com/
Online armour also uses hips. Which i prefer to use then hips in Spyware Terminator
I know comodo now has hips, as i used the older version, but saw where some people were having problems with the latest version.
Not disappointed that i have now changed to online Armour
Hope i have explained better now as i do have trouble writing what i mean. :(

I am using Spyware Terminator with OA free, but I am only using the Realtime Shield, not HIPS. One thing I like about Spyware Terminator is how well behaved it is. I have used the HIPS when I had Sunbelt Kerio installed with no issues, and I suspect you could probably get away with it, though it might slow your computer some. If I ever solve my other issues with OA free I will test this for you, but for now I have bigger fires to put out. Good luck.
