Hi
I've just installed the trial version of OA Premium and am having trouble interpreting two pops.

1. Online Armor has detected a new network "Local area connection 2". It seems to describe my Ethernet card. I'm not on a network -- the computer is a standalone. So should I have "Trust network" checked, or unchecked?

2. While online, OA says it has detected a new network, the WAN, and gives an address and a gateway. Is this the online connection? And should "Trust network" be checked or unchecked?
Just giving me a windows error, throew me off track and had me running registry scripts to try to fix it.

I had a few questions I would like to ask about Online Armor Premium which I have installed on my laptop.

First, I normally use Google Chrome web browser. Does the "web shield" alert to sites known to be bad (historical analysis like siteadvisor) or does the web shield have a real time monitor?

Also, does "banking mode" work with Google Chrome?

I have the option of installing a number of different antivirus programs at this time. The list I have to choose from include F-secure, Norton, MSE, Avast free. If I choose one of the free options I plan on supplementing it with Prevx free. I am just wondering whether Online Armor has any compatibility issues with either F-Secure (DeepGuard) or Norton 2010 (Sonar 2). And whether there is any compatibility issue with Prevx (and MSE or Avast).

If someone has been using an antivirus program that works well with Online Armor I would appreciate that info too.

Are there any test results showing how the Online Armor web shield stacks up against the http scanners of programs like Avast, F-secure and Norton 2010?

I know that's lost of questions- just looking forward to getting my laptop set up and running.

Thanks.

PS- my set up is Vista Home Basic, Core 2 duo. And I use the Norton UAC Tool.

Salve

There are pretty sure bugs when it works on server 2003; it can not remember settings added later on the first initial settings, and safe-run does not work either. It is not sure they ironed out such bugs in version 4.x
No version of OA works on x64 I tried on win6 (server 2008).
Anyone knows when we can have new updates on OA to support x64 platform for win6/win7.

I am running Windows Server 2003 with the most recent patches, etc.

So from time to time I get a little suspicious about spyware and delete all of the permissions out of the Program Guard in Online Armor. I just like to re-verify that there are no rogue processes running under the radar by going through all of the permissions again as they come up. So very unfortunately, I selected all of the process permissions in Program Guard, and accidentally hit the block button rather than the delete button. My stupid trigger finger even went so far as to click the yes button on the verification window that popped up. This caused the OS to immediately shut down and reboot. When it starts up again, it immediately reboots (because Online Armor loads and blocks all of the system processes) before I can do anything. It is now locked in a never-ending continuum of reboots.
Any advice? I really shouldn't be running Windows Server 2003 (as I don't really know my way around it) - it's just that I needed an OS and Microsoft gave it to me for free because I'm a student.

Thanks in advance!

Until now I've had only a dial-up connection, now I have a cellular connection. On the cellular, during the boot process I get a pop up saying that a program wants information from www.tallemu.com. In the early days I checked the 'Don't ask again' box and cancelled, then later on I'd manually connect, etc. I do see OA connecting to tallemu every few minutes, regardless of dial-up or broadband.
The problem is that today I clicked the Connect button on the pop up as soon as it popped up and the system started trying to connect and locked up requiring a hardware reset/reboot, I did not do the same thing twice which is why I can post this.
I rebooted and this time I just didn't respond to the pop up at all. After a minute or so it disappeared, then it reappeared. It kept repeating the appear/disappear cycle until I finally felt that I'd waited long enough and clicked the 'Connect' button (and got connected and OA immediately phoned home, it showed on the FW Status!).
Could I prevent the pop up until the boot process has really finished if I checked the 'Options > Firewall > Block all the traffic during system boot'?
A supplemental question is: Why does OA 'phone home' every few minutes? Is it protecting me, if so, how? Is it just for tallemu's own use? An explanation would be appreciated.
